FontCompass is paid for by affiliate commissions. This page explains which links are affiliate links and how that affects what we publish.

Which links are affiliate links

• Links to MyFonts. These go through CJ Affiliate (the link address starts with anrdoezrs.net) and then on to MyFonts. If you buy a font license after clicking one, MyFonts may pay us a commission. Your price is the same either way.
• Some free download buttons. A few foundries now distribute their free styles only as $0 products on MyFonts. exljbris, the foundry behind Museo and Calluna, is one example. For those fonts the free download button is a MyFonts affiliate link too. A $0 order earns us nothing, but a paid purchase you make on MyFonts after clicking may.

Which links are not

Links to designers’ and foundries’ own websites (for example Typodermic Fonts and Radomir Tinkov), to free distributors a foundry has authorized (such as DaFont), and to license documents are ordinary links. We earn nothing from them.

How this affects what we cover

We only write about fonts that have an official free style worth explaining. Because affiliate income is how the site pays for itself, we give priority to fonts whose paid styles are sold by a store we can link to.

That choice does not change the facts inside an article. Which styles are free, what the license allows and what the paid styles cost are reported the same way whether or not a link pays us. If the free styles are enough for your project, the article says so.

Prices and purchases

• Prices are checked on the date shown in each article and can change at any time. The price at checkout is the one that applies.
• Purchases, refunds and support are handled by MyFonts or the seller, not by FontCompass. The license you buy is an agreement between you and the foundry.
