Good Times Font Free Download: Official Regular + License

Good Times Regular has been free since its first release in 1998, and it still is: you can download it from official sources and use it in commercial artwork such as logos, posters, merchandise and video. It is best known as the lettering in Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man logos. The free license is a desktop license for one person, so websites, apps and editable templates need a paid license. The full family of 15 styles is only $109.95 on MyFonts, cheaper than most Typodermic families (checked 17 October 2026).

Where to download Good Times for free (official)

Good Times is made by Typodermic Fonts. The DaFont ZIP (the button above) contains only Good Times; Typodermic’s license names DaFont as an authorized source. The same file is in Typodermic’s 11.5 MB free desktop package at typodermicfonts.com/downloads.

Good Times is capitals only. Lowercase keys produce the same capitals, by design. The free file has 362 characters, all Latin; there is no Greek, Cyrillic or Vietnamese.

What the free license allows

The ZIP includes the Typodermic Desktop EULA, version v260817, effective August 17, 2026. It is a desktop license for one person: you can use the font for commercial finished artwork, but not inside anything that lets someone else type with it.

Use Free styles
Logos, print, packaging, merchandise, images, video Allowed, commercial included
Live website text, webfonts, apps, games Not allowed
Editable templates you give or sell, print-on-demand systems Not allowed
Cutting-machine or embroidery alphabets Not allowed

One caution specific to this font: using Good Times does not let you copy the Spider-Man logo. The font is licensed; Marvel’s logo design and the Spider-Man name are trademarks.

The license is the same for every free Typodermic font, so we explain it in full, section by section, in our guide to the Typodermic free font license.

Where Good Times comes from

Raymond Larabie released Good Times on May 12, 1998, after studying the lettering Pontiac used on its cars between 1989 and 1994. He turned those wide, capsule-shaped forms into a digital display face. It has always been capitals only: a client commissioned a lowercase in the 2000s, but Larabie rejected it because it clashed with the capitals, and in 2019 he drew a separate typeface, Good Timing, to fill that gap.

In May 2012 the family grew to seven weights with obliques, all commercial, and the free Regular was rebuilt with better curves, spacing and kerning at the same time. Good Times reached its biggest audience as the Marvel Studios Spider-Man franchise logo from 2017 to 2021, covering Homecoming, Far From Home and No Way Home, and it appears in the subtitle of the 2026 logo for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

What the paid styles cost

The complete family has 15 styles: seven weights from Hairline to Heavy, each with an italic, plus a variant called Good Times Bad Times. MyFonts prices in USD, checked 17 October 2026:

License One style Complete family (15 styles)
Desktop, 1 user $69.95 $109.95
Desktop, 5 users $251.82 $395.82
Company Desktop, up to 20 employees $131.16 $206.16
Webfonts, 10,000 pageviews/month $69.95 $109.95
Webfonts, 100,000 pageviews/month $271.06 $426.06
Electronic Doc (e-book, PDF), 1 title $139.90 $219.90
Digital Ad / Email, 1,000,000 impressions $69.95 $109.95
App, 1 title $1,049.25 $1,649.25
Server, 1 CPU core $699.50 $1,099.50

This family is priced unusually low: one style is $69.95, but all 15 are $109.95. If you need even two paid styles, the family is cheaper.

Free alternatives, compared

BRANDING set in Good Times Regular, Krona One and Orbitron ExtraBold, with bars showing Krona One 6 percent wider and Orbitron 8 percent narrower
Same size, same word. Neither alternative has Good Times’ capsule shapes.
  • Krona One (Google Fonts, SIL Open Font License) is 6% wider and shares the wide, sturdy stance.
  • Orbitron ExtraBold is 8% narrower and more angular.
  • Neither reproduces the rounded capsule forms that make Good Times recognizable. If that look is the point, the free Regular is the better choice for artwork.
